Pete Walker and Anthony Bowyer, the owners of Bowalker Doors in Hickstead, have more than 60 years’ experience between them in home transformation and are dedicated to helping you choose the perfect widespan architectural glazed doors for your project.
Pete came into the home improvement and glazing industry straight from school when he was 16, and Anthony was 18.
Both Pete and Anthony have built up a whole host of knowledge by being fortunate enough to work in all areas of the industry, all the way from fitting to manufacturing, so they know all the ins and outs of architectural glazing.
In 2009, our two directors joined forces, combining their years of expertise and industry experience to create our sister company, Bowalker Windows.
We worked on home improvements for the whole house, installing windows, doors, kitchen splashbacks, balustrades, shower screens, conservatory roofs, and service work, including replacement units, hinges and handles, adding as many strings to our bow as possible.
We had two fitting teams working alongside Pete and Anthony, with real close-knit, family values to help homeowners find the best solutions for their properties. From there, we were able to go from strength to strength, while maintaining our core beliefs of providing a personal experience.
After nearly a decade of Bowalker Windows, we realised that our transformational range of widespan aluminium doors were hugely popular amongst Sussex and Surrey homeowners extending, refurbishing or building brand new homes.
The trend for creating large openings and making the most of picturesque views has become really sought after in areas such as Hickstead, Haywards Heath, Brighton, Crawley, Lewes, Horsham, Shoreham-by-Sea, and Burgess Hill, making a massive difference to projects.
The widespan glazed doors are the largest part of most projects as they open up homes, add beautiful amounts of light and offer stunning views.
We wanted to build something that focussed on helping homeowners to choose the right architectural glazed doors, offering advice and expertise, as well a stunning selection of widespan doors, including bi-fold doors and sliding doors in Hickstead.
In 2014, we added the premium range of aïr bi-fold and aïr sliding doors to our range. Our customers looking to make a real statement and add ultimate light, space and style to their projects were really impressed by the innovative range.
We installed full sized display versions of the aïr door range in our Hickstead showroom and watched as people flocked in to see just how stunning the doors were.
As well as being an aïr Accredited Retailer, we offer aluminium sliding patio doors and aluminium bi-fold doors for projects looking to open their homes up to the garden and create cutting-edge features while sticking to budget.
The launch of Bowalker Doors has allowed us to help transform some spectacular homes.
We’ve been able to work with architects and homeowners on a range of different projects across Sussex and Surrey. Each project has been really satisfying to see our customer’s homes completely revamped, with our architectural glazed doors adding the wow factor they’re after.
